McKeldin Mall with tents and crowds on Maryland Day
The 17th Annual Maryland Day on May 2, 2015, was a tremendous success. More than 9,000 campus volunteers ensured that more than 75,000 visitors enjoyed the University of Maryland's largest community outreach event, featuring over 400 events for the whole family, including exhibits, workshops, performances, tours, petting zoos, and athletic events.
Visitors to the foyer of the Animal Sciences building stepped away from the cool breeze of a gorgeous day to receive a warm welcome from the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. They explored the question, "Environmental Problems and Economics: How Much Do We Care?" and played family-fun games. We hope you had a great time and look forward to your next visit!
